Vintage Westmoreland English Hobnail Creamer & Sugar Set Amber Depression Glass.
Excellent used condition for both Creamer & Sugar without chips, cracks or fleabites.
With all the pointed edges & corners on this set I checked them over for chips carefully.I carefully checked the spout which is a common place for damage.I could not find any damage on either piece!
Measures approx. Sugar~ 1 1/2"ht x 3 3/4"w x 2 3/4" base and 6 1/2" hndl to hndl. Creamer ~2 1/2"ht x 3 3/4"w x 2 3/4" base and 5 1/2" hndl to tip of spout.
Made by Westmoreland Glass Co Grapeville, PA 1920s-1983.
English Hobnail AKA Line #555 was made in Amber & Crystal up until they closed in 1983 so no manufacture date known for this set.
The English hobnail pattern was made in many other colors incuding crystal, cobalt blue, pink, red and turquoise blue according to my Warmans Depression Glass book 4th edition.
