. Very smooth on cast and retrieve, the bail snaps back after each cast and the drag function is very smooth with click anti-reverse. This is a high quality fresh water work horse a very solid reel that will not let you down. Excellent mechanical condition with minor scuffs from normal use. The gears have been cleaned and re-greased and the spool was dis-assembled and cleaned, spool some new line and go fishing or put it in your collection it displays very well, Lionel was a well known manufacturer of high quality train sets.
