    Description

    Listing includes an old Garcia Mitchell Spinning Reel No. 300.  I believe it to be one of the first ones manufactured due to the shape of the winder container (sorry, I'm not a fisherman - my terms may be funny, but you will figure them out).  The ones I've seen online have egg-shaped containers.  Few have the round one.  This is what it says on the reel and spool:

    The extra spool is a size large.  Condition overall is quite good considering it's probably 70+ years old.  It works, but is a little stiff.  It comes in its original box which is a bit hashed, but original.  This reel is "a product of France" although it was manufactured in the USA.  Great collector's item!
