Description
Cool Lot. We have a 1993 Collect-A-Card corp. American Bandstand factory sealed unopened wax box, containing 36 packs of 8 cards per = 288 cards. The box contains a chance at Gold Foil Autographs and a good shot at completing 1 or more full sets of 100 American Bandstand cards. Plus, as a bonus, we have an additional near 100 cards in an American Bandstand factory, hinged tin box. This also comes with the sought after hologram card, seen in pic #2 and the only way to find it, as far as I know. I assumed the factory tin was a complete set, but not being sealed I looked through it and saw duplicates, so I think it's just random cards from the set. Between the box and the tin, I would think you could make between 1 and 3 sets. I saw single cards of artists in the set such as Smokey Robinson, Kook & The Gang, Neil Sedaka, KC & the Sunshine Band, Fleetwood Mac, Jerry Lee Lewis, Peter Frampton, The Pointer Sisters, of course Dick Clark, & many more. Full disclosure, the box has a sticky type residue, I guess from years of storage, this would most likely clean off if wiped down good. You won't do any harm, as the outer layer is sealed plastic wrap, this also doesn't affect the cards or cardboard box in anyway, since again, only on the outer layer of plastic wrap. Very neat lot, I am sure these aren't just readily available anymore, nearly 30 years old. Great history and artists from the show over a span of many years.
